A special thanks to all of the extraordinary artists that I have had the good fortune to meet in the workshops over the years. It is a fantastic journey and I am grateful! - Marty Brens

Since 1990, we've been offering fine art instruction through plein air and studio workshops in a variety of locations. Artists may choose an all-inclusive package in a Premium workshop retreat; or a workshop in which the participants are responsible for their own lodging and meals.

About Our Locations

At the Premium workshops everything is included.  These truly unique settings enable the instructor and students to connect on a more intimate level.  The atmosphere is warm and casual and everything is provided to make your stay special. All inclusive includes all meals, after class appetizers, happy hour cocktails and wine or beer provided with dinner. Private lodging in beautiful comfy beds.  We paint together, eat meals together and really get to know each other. This inspiring atmosphere makes it easy to hone your painting skills and meet new artist friends. Massage is also an option in the evenings, a great way to relax the body and mind and wind down after busy day painting.

These workshops are quite small 6-8 student maximum.

Even if you are taking a workshop at one of the non-inclusive locations such as Carbondale or in Pueblo, including in studio workshops, all the research has been done to make sure the accomodations are superior and comfortable.  Privately owned properties have been secured for our workshops to visit for outdoor painting venues without the distractions of on- lookers and traffic.

These details help to make your experience easier and comfortable.
