Since 1990, we've been offering fine art instruction through plein air and studio workshops in a variety of locations. Artists may choose an all-inclusive package in a Premium workshop retreat; or a workshop in which the participants are responsible for their own lodging and meals.

Directions from Denver to Cordillera

Take I-70 West to Vail.  Go past Vail to Edwards exit #163

At this exit, go left under the Interstate 1/2 mile to Highway 6 (3rd traffic light)

Turn right on Highway 6.  Continue on Highway 6 for 2 1/2 miles.  Turn left after you pass the Church of Assisi.

The left turn is into Cordillera.  There is a National Forest Access sign at that turn and a Cordillera sign on a big rock above the Cordillera entrance.


 Directions To The Studio At The Cafe

408 Carterville Rd, Cordillera

The studio we will be utilizing in in the post office building.

Take Highway 6 per instructions above

Go approximately 2.73 Miles to Squaw Creek Rd make a left

Go approximately 2.30 miles and take a left on Carterville Rd to the Post office building


Directions from Eagle/Vail airport

When you leave the airport, turn right onto Hwy 6 and follow it all the way to Cordillera, approximately 19 miles. You will go through two round-abouts at Gypsum and Eagle.  Look carefully for the "Cordillera" sign on the right.  It is small. It is Squaw Creek Rd, Squaw Creek Rd.

A shuttle is available from the airport to your hotel and to the studio, however we do need plenty of advance notice. Please call for information 719 545-2795

Shuttle cost is $75 round trip, and a daily charge for shuttle to and from the studio.

Taxis and Uber are available also. Two friends can share the cost.
