Eden Ranch, Wet Mountain Valley, CO
This privately owned ranch is like a “piece of heaven!” Eden ranch is a south central Colorado destination. It is located in the wet mountain valley below the Majestic and beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, between Westcliffe and Cotopaxi. The ranch has panoramic views of the valley in all directions. Texas Creek runs through the property and every direction you look is a painting waiting to be expressed on canvas. Large shade trees abound, also perennial gardens, outdoor decks and a variety of seating areas. Lots of space indoors and out to be alone or together with the group enjoying your after class glass of wine!
Country elegant is a good way to describe the casual atmosphere of the ranch.
We will be doing most of our painting on the Ranch but we may take a field trip to paint down the valley at a private ranch about 15 minutes away closer to Westcliffe with terrific views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range.
Accomodations: Private rooms, with their own baths. Only a few rooms share a bath, great for friends. The cabins have fireplaces and laundry facilities with kitchenettes. (You won’t need to cook however or hopefully do laundry!)
Meals will be catered by Rustingram Caterers. After class appetizers, wine and beer are provided with dinner.
You may request the Master Suite, large bedroom with a outside deck and sitting room ($200 more). There is also a master suite in the yellow house, this room has a king bed, and a Jacuzzi tub ($100 more). These rooms may be taken and generally go to couples with non painting spouses. All of the other rooms are the rate listed on the teacher’s page at the bottom ($2395 + lodging and food tax). All of the accommodations are very inviting and comfortable.
Wine and beer are provided with dinner; a suggestion; you may want to bring a few bottles of your favorite to keep in your own kitchen for your own convenience after class.
There is no cell service at this ranch however free long distance and WIFI for your tablets and laptops.
We can hold the entire ranch up to 60 days prior to the beginning of the workshop. Please commit early to ensure the workshop will go.
