Intermediate to advanced

Michelle believes that the most important part of a painting is what the artist has to say. This workshop will focus on the intuitive side of the painting process; students will be encouraged to paint very quickly from a live model in the morning, and from photos taken of the model in the afternoon; longer poses, larger canvas. We will do exercises on using color, composition and brushstrokes to add a dimension of expression to your work. This is more of an intermediate class, you will need to have some drawing skills and be somewhat familiar with your medium. All mediums are welcome, however, Michelle will be instructing in oil. Bring your paint and lots of enthusiasm.

$450 + 30 model fee
